Spring City sits on the western shore of Watts Bar Lake in Rhea County, roughly an hour north of Chattanooga. Housing includes waterfront homes and lots, lake-access neighborhoods, and older in-town homes.
Watts Bar Lake runs along the Tennessee River between Watts Bar Dam and Fort Loudoun Dam, with marinas, boat ramps, and year-round fishing. The Piney River Trail and the Cumberland Plateau foothills are just west of town.
